RENFREW COUNTY (Renfrew) — The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated 184 calls for service.

Domestic Violence
Arnprior and Renfrew officers investigated nine domestic disputes during the past week. One accused has been charged with mischief under $5000.00

The Women’s Sexual Assault Centre of Renfrew County is also available 24/7 for information and support at 1-800-663-3060. You could also attend the emergency department of any hospital in Renfrew County and ask to speak to a member of the Assault Response Team. Victim Services of Renfrew County is also available to provide emotional and practical assistance to people who have experienced domestic violence. Impaired Driving 
On March 31, an officer from the Renfrew OPP Detachment conducted a traffic stop in the Town of Renfrew. As a result of the vehicle stop, Mathieu Lamarche, 37 years old, of the Town of Renfrew has been charged with impaired driving. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear to attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on June 17.

Bail Violations
On April 3, officers with the Renfrew OPP Detachment were paroling in Greater Madawaska Township. Officers stopped to speak with a male that was observed in Highway 41. As a result of an investigation, Amine Moutia, 27 years old of Greater Madawaska Township has been charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear to attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on June 3.
