Robbery under investigation by Upper Ottawa Valley OPP

RPEMBROKE — The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP is investigating a robbery that took place on Sunday, May 28 at approximately 230 a.m. on Mackay Street between Nelson Street and Sussex Street in the City of Pembroke.
The male victim was approached by a male suspect who struck the victim with a silver baseball bat. The suspect then stole a knapsack style bag from the victim containing a bible, camouflage blanket, reading glasses and two t-shirts, which were orange and green in colour. A second male suspect stood by while the robbery occurred.
Both suspects fled on foot and were last observed eastbound on Sussex Street. The victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The first suspect, who was in possession of the silver bat, is described as:
• White male, approximately 5ft. 7in.
• Wearing a brown/grey hoody
• Poor dental hygiene
The second suspect is described as a white male with his hair being cut short right to the scalp.
Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have information about this robbery, including any motorists who may have been passing by on MacKay Street at the time.
