The screams were real, but thankfully the creatures were not. It was the return of the Haunted Hallowe’en Walk held at the Sukkel property on Foresters Falls Road and organized by various people from throughout Whitewater Region Township and neighbouring communities. There was opportunity for the young children to go before it was too dark. There were a variety of games, such as skeleton bowling, pumpkin painting, face painting, and feeling what various spooky things felt like. Once the children were gone, it was time for the adults to take to the trail and then the fun for those putting on the walk to enjoy.
It was noted that 560 people went through the walk donating $2,200. Organizers aren’t sure where all the money is yet going, but it is going to charity.
There was also a walk in Beachburg Saturday night, but no information was provided regarding the event, which ended up being rained out later in the night. Congratulations to all involved in both walks.
