Search warrant results in illegal cigarette and drug seizure

PEMBROKE – on Friday, April 7 members of the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP, with the assistance of OPP’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) and OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed a Criminal Code (CC) search warrant at a residence in the City of Pembroke.
Marihuana and a significant quantity of illegal cigarettes were seized.
As a result, 65-year old Phillip Huard of Pembroke is facing the following CC and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) charges: Possess Unstamped Tobacco for the Purpose of Sale; Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana under 30 grams.
The accused was released on a Promise To Appear and is schedule to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on May 23.
