Seniors Home Support and Active Living Pilot Changes

Township of Whitewater Region

The Township of Whitewater Region informs residents and users of the changes to the Whitewater Seniors Home Support and Active Living pilot project led by the Seniors Working Group and Seniors Liaison Coordinator, Holly Brown.

With the expiration and non-renewal of the Township lease at the Whitewater Seniors Home Support and Active Living centre located at 1765 Beachburg Road (former Scotiabank Branch), we are currently transitioning the service.

Effective December 22, 2022, Seniors Liaison Coordinator Holly Brown will operate from:

the Township Office located 44 Main Street Cobden ON K0J 1K0 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Depending on programming (see monthly calendar), Holly may be off-site conducting an event.

the Beachburg Arena located at 14 Caroline Street, Beachburg, Ontario K0J 1C0 on Wednesday’s between 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

*Walk-ins are available at both locations. Frozen meals will be available at the Beachburg Arena and in Cobden.

The Township thanks our partners, among many others, Carefor Health & Community Services Pembroke-Renfrew County, Renfrew & Area Seniors’ Home Support Inc, and Eganville and District Seniors, Michael Conroy, Good Companions (Ottawa), the County of Renfrew, and the Ontario Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility.

We continue to actively seek long-term funding to continue Whitewater Seniors with provincial ministry delegations and the annual budget process.
