A pickup taken from a Whitewater Region residence on New Year’s Eve has been located and a 15-year-old teen arrested.
Police say the homeowner returned home to find the pick-up truck missing, along with some beer.
On New Year’s Day the pickup was located a short distance away and a youth who lives at the same residence as the owner was also found in the vicinity.
The youth, who can not be identified under the terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with theft over $5,000, theft under $5,000, five counts of failing to comply with a probation order, and three counts of failing to comply with a sentence order.
At a bail hearing on Friday (Jan 2), he was remanded into custody
