PEMBROKE — To help bring cutting edge medical care to the region, The Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group has donated $25,000 to the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation.
Families trust us to provide peace of mind, so it was an easy decision for The Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group to support the Cutting Edge Campaign, said Tim Shauf, President and CEO of The Commonwell. Where we feel we can make an impact is on the well being of our children and the health and general safety of our community, and those we care about. We give as generously as we can – that is our “C.A.R.E. – Create a Ripple Effect’ – program.
In the last four years, The Commonwell has donated a total of $50,000 to the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation, with their first contribution helping to bring home the region’s only MRI.
The Commonwell’s contribution is a real investment in Renfrew County, said Nancy Warren, Executive Director of the PRH Foundation. This gift to the Cutting Edge Campaign will help ensure that local families can access an upgraded in-patient surgical area and state-of-the-art orthopaedic care.
The Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation’s Cutting Edge Campaign is currently halfway to its $2.5 million fundraising goal. With their first-ever Connecting to Care Radiothon on March 1st (hosted by myFM at the Pembroke Mall), PRHF hopes to build on the momentum of this most recent generosity.
Donations towards the Cutting Edge Campaign are welcome at any time and can be made by contacting the Foundation Office at (613)732-2811 extension 7408 or at www.prhfoundation.com
