This was just some of the action during the home-opener for the Peewee BB Thunder team on Sunday morning at the Astrolabe Arena in Cobden. The Thunder shut-down the Cornwall Typhoons 3-0. Scoring and assisting in this game were Emma McGrath (Julia Swant); Emma Misener (unassisted); and Alexis Waito (Emma McGrath). Goalie Russell earned the shut-out on a strong 13-save performance. The team plays Friday, Sept. 30 at the Nepean Wildcats. The Cornwall Tyhpoons return to Cobden this Sunday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m. The Bantam Thunder edged Gloucester-Cumberland 3-1; Midget Thunder edged Nepean 3-1 and Bantam Thunder defeated Russell 4-1.
