WHITEWATER REGION — In support of their clients and other residents in Renfrew County in need of health and practical support, the Whitewater-Bromley Community Health Centre (WBCHC) is offering resources with their care partners.
WBCHC has partnered in the implementation of the Renfrew County Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre (VTAC). Their medical and administrative staff are contributing staff time with other health partners across Renfrew County to ensure the health care needs of residents are met. It is noted this service is for residents who do not have access to a primary care provider.
They have launched a COVID-19 emergency fundraising effort to support Whitewater Region and area residents in temporary financial need. The emergency fund is to ensure those in need have basic supplies until their employment resumes. If you are in a position to donate to this effort, WBCHC directs you to the yellow “Donate” button on their website at www.wbchc.on.ca.
A Facebook group has been launched to connect with Whitewater Region and area residents who may be in need of, or able to offer, practical and basic support during the pandemic. It can be found at www.facebook.com/groups/263405234663710. WBCHC has also prepared a COVID-19 resource to be released in the near future, including key health, mental health, food, parenting and other local resources for residents during the pandemic.
The staff at WBCHC continue to provide service to their clients at their three office sites in the Villages of Cobden and Beachburg, as well as Eganville. This is done by virtual appointments with audio or video tools which meet their privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures.
