The Council heard a recommendation that Council of the Township of Whitewater Region approve an amendment to the zoning category of the property described as Westmeath Concession A EML and Part of Lot 21, Beachburg Road to the “Agriculture – Exception Forty-Seven (A-E47) Zone” to prohibit residential uses and reduce the minimum separation distance to 3.0 metres.
Myles England filed the application to prevent non-agricultural uses of his land, CAO Ivan Burton said.
“It’s protecting lands used for agricultural purposes for agricultural purposes forever and a day.” Burton said.
Burton said there was a farm building “used for storage of agricultural materials.”
He said the application also sought to reduce the setback to 3 metres.
Myles England declined to comment, saying ‘it’s already been outlined before’
There were no public questions and no Council Questions, and the application was approved.
