WHITEWATER REGION (Westmeath) — The annual  Westmeath Santa Claus parade had a dozen floats in their annual parade. The weather was ideal, clear and hovering around zero, unlike the cold and bitter temps endured for the last number of years.

The parade began and ended at the Community Centre where between 125 and 150 people went upstairs to the Hall to enjoy hot dogs and hot chocolate – another tradition and always well attended. Santa Claus was there as well to met the kids and listen to their Christmas wishes.

Everyone who participated were thanked by parade coordinator Joanne Savage, especially those who contributed to the food bank.
