The Whitewater Kings fell back one spot in the Richardson Division of the CCHL2 to fifths pot with 52 points.
Peter White is in fourth spot for most goals scored with 35.
During Saturday night’s game, where the Kings clipped the wings of the Winchester Hawks 4 to 1, there were plenty of Muskrat hockey players in the stands as it was Muskrat Appreciation Night. There were two draw prizes for the night.
Ryan Jeapes won free 2018-2019 hockey registration and $200 worth of hockey equipment. Aiden Smith won a hockey stick valued at $135. There were also Lucky Lineup draws as well.
It was a good game as the Kings came out on the winning side.
Jacob McIntyre scored 39 seconds into the first period with assist coming from Michael Karas.
The rest of the scoring all came in the second period, with Hawk Joel Driscoll opening the scoring 38 seconds, assist by Kristian Palmer and Gabriel Morin.
The Kings twanged the twin three more times. Chad Moore scored with assist from Jared Campitelli and Keifer Levasseur; Peter White with Nicholas Olmstead and Jacob McIntyre and Michael Karas with Peter and McIntyre.
Goalie Kevin Proulx stopped 31 of 32 shots while Hawks goalie Darien Johnson stopped 28 of 32 shots.
The Kings sat out 14 minutes on seven infractions while the Hawks were out 21 minutes on five infractions.
There were 179 fans in the stands. McIntyre and Proulx were awarded Star 1 and 2, respectively, while Hawk Joel Driscoll was awarded the third one.
It’s a busy weekend for the Whitewater Kings.
They visit the Perth Blue Wins Friday night for a 7:30 face-off at the Perth Arena.
Saturday night, the Kings are home with the Carleton Place Junior coming in for a 7 p.m. start.
On Monday, the Kings travel to Ottawa to play the Ottawa West Golden Knights at the B. Ann Scott Arena with a 7:15 p.m. start.
