The Premier’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts are an important way in which we
can recognize artists and arts organizations for their artistic achievements
that entertain, educate, engage – and inspire.
In Ontario, there are endless ways to live with culture, thanks to you – our
artists, producers, innovators, content creators and performers. Your work
breathes life into communities, helps drive innovation and strengthens
Ontario’s culture sector, which generates more than $22 billion annually for
the economy.
Help us to celebrate your peers, colleagues and mentors for the invaluable
contributions they make to our communities, our economy and our everyday
lives.
There are two categories: an artist award of $35,000 and an arts
organization award of $50,000. Artists and arts organizations engaged in any
professional arts practice in Ontario whose artistic work or service spans a
minimum of 10 years are eligible.
Nominating an outstanding artist or arts organization is easy!
Simply submit a package that includes a nomination form, a testimonial
letter, a description of your nominee and a selection of media clippings
about them.

The OAC manages the nomination and adjudication process on behalf of the
Ontario government.
