HALEY STATION — A young man from Whitewater Region Township is scheduled for court in two months after being charged with several offences.
A Mazda RX8 was recently clocked at more than 190 km/h in a 90 zone near Haley Station.
Police say the vehicle was located a short time later on Gypsy Lane and the alleged driver, a 23-year-old Whitewater Region man, was arrested and charged with dangerous driving, obstructing police, stunt driving and improperly displaying license plates.
He is scheduled to appear in Renfrew Court August 21.
The man’s driver’s license was suspended for seven days and the Mazda was impounded.
