4-H participants rewarded for hard work

The annual Renfrew County 4-H Awards Banquet was held Friday evening at the Cobden Agricultural Hall. Several awards were presented for projects completed, along with various trophies and scholarships.

Kelsey Edwards, Nicole Moore and Sherry Ethier shared the scholarships.

Ms. Edwards was awarded the Delmer Bennett Award, Renfrew County Federation of Agriculture Scholarship, Renfrew Lions Club Scholarship, Cull Auctioneering Award and the Renfrew County Soil and Crop Scholarship.

Nicole Moore received the Renfrew County Federation of Agriculture Scholarship, the Renfrew Lions Club Scholarship and the Renfrew County 4-H Association Scholarship.

Ms. Ethier was awarded the Renfrew County 4-H Association Scholarship, Most Outstanding 4-H Club Member in Renfrew County and Ontario Plowman Association Award and the Jennifer McVeigh Fellowship Award.

Leaders/volunteer seals were presented to Scott Schoenfeldt, (1st year); Shanna Armstrong, Michelle Enright, Erica Rice, Michael John Rice (all 5), Nancy Schultz (15), Anne Bromley (25) and Youth Leader Backpack recipients were Miranda Crogie, Johanna Dwyer, Keely Henderson, Nicole Moore, Nicole Peplinski, Kinly Rice and Jamie Schultz.
