Man dies in two-vehicle collision in front of Logos Land on Hwy. 17

COBDEN — A 51-year-old man is dead and another person suffered serious injuries after a tractor-trailer and sedan crashed on Highway 17 west of Cobden, Renfrew County paramedics say.
Paramedic Chief Michael Nolan said the call came in around 10:40 a.m. Wednesday.
Paramedics pronounced the driver of the sedan dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Pembroke Regional Hospital.
Police closed the highway in the area and detours were in place.
