Joyce Campbell was quite surprised when she found out another celebration was being held in her honour to celebrate her 90th birthday. The Westmeath senior received numerous accolades from various politicians and dignitaries during the monthly lunch hosted by the Riverview Seniors Social Club, of which she is a member. Karen McKibbon, who was representing MP Cheryl Gallant, and Whitewater Region Mayor Hal Johnson presented Ms. Campbell with scrolls of congratulations from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne, Governor General of Canada Julie Payette, MPP John Yakabuski, Leader of the Opposition MP Andrew Scheer, MP Cheryl Gallant and Whitewater Region township. Following the lunch, and prior to the presentations, Ms. Campbell was honoured with a beautiful birthday cake and gifts from many friends.
