WHITEWATER REGION (Beachburg) — The Beachburg Public School Advisory Council wrote and sent a letter to the Minister of Education, Hon. Lisa M. Thompson. The letter expressed their concerns regarding the changes to public education being proposed by the government.

“The proposed cuts and changes are alarming for many reasons, and pose particularly distressing challenges to our small school in rural Ontario,” wrote Lauren McIllfaterick, Co-Chair of the Beachburg Public School Advisory Council.

“I look forward to hearing back from you and hearing about how you plan to take the feedback you are receiving from school boards, parents, guardians and students from across the province into consideration.”

A response has not been received.
