WHITEWATER REGION (Cobden) — The Muskrat Watershed Council is holding its annual general meeting this Saturday, Aug. 19, from 10 am. to noon at the Cobden Agricultural Hall.
This year’s speaker is Terri Lee Reid, a freshwater conservation researcher from the Canadian Federation of Wildlife.
She will talk about how to use plants along your shoreline and to landscape with protecting our water in mind. As a door prize for those who attend, we will have a draw for some of the plants mentioned.
There will be updates on what the Council has done this year and what it is looking at for projects next year.
As always, support is very important to the organization. Your financial help keeps the MWC going forward.
If you are a member please renew and vote, and if you are yet to be a member, we hope you will join us in our efforts to work on the watershed.
