The Council of the Township of Whitewater Region approved an amendment to the zoning category of the property described as Part of Lot 20, Westmeath Concession B EML, Indian Road.

Planner Ivan Burton said the Amendment was to create a new vacant residential lot, to reduce the lot frontage, which is 41 meters, whereas the By-law requires 45 meters of frontage.

The amendment is a condition of an amendment okayed by the Committee of Adjustment in July.

“There is a bit of a local wetland there, so staff is recommending only one entrance, and the larger of the two properties will have right of way.”

There were no speakers in queue to speak from the public.

Councillor Daryl McLaughlin asked if the Public Works department was informed, which Burton confirmed was done and that there were “no comments or objections.”

The motion was carried.
