The Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the OPP is again organizing a Christmas Tree Angel Program.
Christmas trees in both the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP Detachments at 1913 Petawawa Blvd., Petawawa, and 77 International Drive Pembroke will have a number of “Angels” on them, representing children in the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment area.  Each “Angel” will represent a less fortunate child in our communities.
The following locations are also assisting by providing Angels at their various locations:
•  Admaston/Bromley Twp. Municipal Office
•  North Algona/ Wilberforce Twp. Municipal Office
•  Town of Petawawa Municipal Office
•  Town of Petawawa Library
•  Beachburg Post Office, Twp. of Whitewater Region
•  Westmeath Post Office,  Twp. of Whitewater Region
•  Laurentian Valley Twp. Municipal Office
•  City of Pembroke Municipal Office
•  City of Pembroke Library
Citizens are asked to attend any of the above locations and pick an “Angel”, purchase a gift and return unwrapped gifts to the offices where they were taken from by Dec. 1 to ensure that the gifts can be distributed on time.
Please try and remember the smile that it will bring to someone to have a little something extra under the Christmas tree.
