Several members of the Renfrew County 4H members participated at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto.
Anna McIntyre was kind enough to take photos and provide commentary of those members for the readers of Whitewater News.
Thank you Anna.

1. Cameron Coughlin — He did very well for his first time with his Dorset ewe. He didn’t make the cut for his heat, and he placed well with his ewe.
He was 10th for Showmanship and 5th for confirmation

2. Autumn McIntyre was first in her heat and earned Grand Champion Novice Showperson. She was also fifth out of 15 in Southdown ewe.
This is one of the biggest shows that we have had for the Junior Sheep Show at the Royal. There was 146 participants.

In these photos are
3. Kyla Ness – won reserve champion show person and got 9th out of 15 in Southdown ewe lamb class

4. Dawson Gordon : got 4th in Showmanship over all in the intermediate showmanship and did well in the commercial ewe lamb class.

5. Samantha Austin : got 7th in her intermediate showmanship heat and got 5th in AOB with her ewe lamb.

This is the first time that anyone from Renfrew County who has ever taken their rabbits to show.
Autumn McIntyre took two rabbits to the event.
6. Autumn and Bowling Bal, who was first.
7. Autumn and Cadbury. She received fifth in showman ship and judging.
Autumn really thanks her leaders Lorraine Hamilton, Sherry White, Michelle Enright and Nancy Schultz for a first great year in the rabbit club.

Beef Conformation was long but great quality in all breeds.

Cassie Vereyken with her Charolais calf was three out of six in her heat.
Molly Reid and her Hereford calf was first out of six, but did not place in the Grand class.
Autumn McIntyre placed third out of nine with her Limousin Yearling.
Ellie Collins and her Angus calf placed fourth out of six.
Cailey Campbell placed three out of nine with her Angus Yearling.

All the 4-H Renfrew County participants did well in Showmanship. All five participated in the Junior division (10-14 yrs). Molly Reid was the only chosen to move on to finals and made it to heat 1.
We are so proud of all the teamwork and effort puit into participating at the Royal Winter Fair, Ms. McIntyre said. Thanks to all the leaders for their guidance — Emily Bromley, Lauren Enright and Will Pilgrim
