RENFREW COUNTY — The Board of Directors of Family and Children’s Services of Renfrew County (FCSRC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kathy Davis as Executive Director, effective November 1.

Mrs. Davis continues her work at the agency, transitioning from the Director of Corporate Services position, a position she also held at Family, Youth and Child Services of Muskoka for 10 years prior to moving to Renfrew County in 2013.

As Director of Corporate Services at FCSRC, Mrs. Davis led teams of Supervisors responsible for Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Quality Assurance and Facilities. She has a strong background in many aspects of FCSRC, which, as a multi-service agency, is extremely important due to the geographic, cultural, language and service challenges. Her experience and leadership skills will be valuable in her role as Executive Director.

The recruitment process valued the contributions of more than sixty stakeholders that completed a survey about characteristics necessary for an Executive Director at FCSRC. Feedback was used extensively in crafting the job description, and as a framework for the process of identifying a successful candidate. It is evidence of the scope of caring in our communities that people took time to contribute their thoughts.

Mrs. Davis replaces Arijana Haramincic, who has been appointed as Executive Director for the Government of Nunavut’s Family Services. The board wishes to acknowledge and thank Jeff List and Suzanne Elliott, who covered as acting Executive Directors during the gap of Arijana’s departure and Kathy’s start.
