PEMBROKE – Three members of the 2677 – 42nd Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery Cadet Corps were honoured for their continued service to the cadet corps and community.
Warrant Officer Dustin Meek (Laurentian Valley), Warrant Officer Chase Stewart (Beachburg), and Warrant Officer Conrad Hamilton (Laurentian Valley) were all presented with their medal for four years of continue service from Captain (retired) Ursula Matchett, CD, Army Cadet League Liaison Officer for the Ottawa Valley.
“It’s great to see these three young gentleman, getting out and doing something in the community while working on their studies, and other extra-circular activities,” said Capt (ret’d) Matchett. “It gives me great pleasure in presenting each of them with their long service medal. It gives us a special opportunity to honour and thank young Canadians for their loyalty, service and dedication to this unique youth program.”
The medals were presented during the cadet corps’ annual Christmas Dinner, which took place at the Pembroke Legion, Branch 72, the cadet corps’ primary sponsor.
