RENFREW – Baby Jesus has been returned to the Nativity Scene in Renfrew Square.

It was reported to the Renfrew Detachment of the OPP that sometime during the evening/night of Saturday, Dec. 1, the figuring went missing.

It is a fibreglass over paper-mache figuring that weighs about 15 pounds and is wrapped in a white garment.

Early Wednesday morning, Dec. 5, the figurine was found in the parking lot adjacent to the Renfrew Town Hall and turned in. The figurine was not damaged and has been returned to the Nativity Scene in downtown Renfrew.

The organizers of the scene advise they will be implementing security measures to prevent future thefts.
