WHITEWATER REGION (Beachburg) — A simple gesture of a pizza lunch was donated by the Beachburg Lions Club (BLC) to a much appreciative staff at Country Haven Retirement Home (CHRH) in Beachburg yesterday and on Friday, June 5.

“Brenda Grady filled out a grant proposal for this initiative,” said Tony Mercier, Treasurer of BLC. The Club wanted to lend a helping hand to frontline workers in the community, so applying for the Help for Frontline Workers grant from the Lions International branch was a perfect fit.

In attendance on the Friday from the BLC were Art Jamieson, Arthur Plume, John Pilgrim, Caroline Vis, Debbie Raddatz, Wayne Heubner, Jim Labow, Danny and Audrey Cormack, Claire and Ralph Martin, Brenda Grady, and Willi Byce.
