PEMBROKE – If you’re a fan of 80s music and all the pop culture references from the nostalgic films of the decade, be sure to come on out to Bishop Smith Catholic High School this Thursday and Friday evening as the school welcomes back live audiences for their end of year musical.

Featuring the work and talent of the Grade 11/12 Drama class, the production of “Back To The 80’s – The Totally Awesome Musical” will be held June 16th and 17th starting at 7 p.m. in the school’s “Michael Roy” gymnasium.

Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the school starting at 6:30 p.m. each night when the doors open.

Presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI), this fun musical features all of the best songs straight out of the electric 80’s era along with every stereotypical character seen in any 80s flick.

Director April Laabs shares her excitement about the production saying, “The students are very excited to showcase all of their hard work to anyone who wants a glimpse back into the era of hairspray, Rubik’s Cubes, and bubblegum pop!”
