BEACHBURG — Thanks to the Christian Education Committee of St. Andrew’s United Church in Beachburg, this past Friday evening offered crokinole fun and friendly competition for all ages. Gales of laughter, shrieks of delight, and sometimes dismay, rang out from the Sunday School Hall from 7:30 to 9:30. Prizes, refreshments and good visiting concluded this evening, helping everyone forget about the cold outside!
The following day, a well-attended art workshop, arranged and hosted by Dave and Lynda Willard, was held in this same hall. Christine Peltzer, an artist from the Eganville area was the instructor. Mid session, lunch was enjoyed by all. Participants were glad they had braved the weather to learn and to enjoy good fellowship.
On Monday, Ontario’s Family Day, a Spaghetti Supper, hosted by the C.E.C., attracted over 100 people of all ages.
Many were families enjoying delicious food and good conversation without the worry of preparation and clean-up!
The C.E.C. thanks everyone for sharing with us and for food and monetary donations to help fund children’s programming.
