PEMBROKE — Butler GM has renewed its commitment to regional families with a $10,000 Gift of Humanity to the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation’s Black and White Gala taking place October 13th at the Normandy Officer’s Mess.

As one of the first businesses to back the 2018 Gala, and having just been a lead sponsor of the Connecting to Care Radiothon in March, Butler GM is unwavering in their support of local families and their health care needs.

“Some of the same families from across Renfrew County have passed through our doors for generations,” said dealership owner, Charles Butler, “and these folks, their friends and neighbours deserve nearby access to the highest quality health care, just as much as anyone elsewhere.”

Mr. Butler, a veteran tank commander, began his dealership in 1963, after he moved to Petawawa from serving in Germany. Today, he still enjoys being in the dealership on a daily basis and serving his community.

Receiving the gift, PRHF Executive Director Nancy Warren said, “Butler GM’s continued dedication to the positive changes at our Hospital helps sustain our community. Supporting the longevity of our region’s health care goes hand-in-hand with strengthening our local businesses.”

With tickets for the Black and White Gala now on sale for $175 each, early birds who purchase by August 30th will be entered in a draw to win two tickets to see Keith Urban live in concert, on September 14th in Ottawa. Tickets are sponsored by Welch LLP.

Guests of the Black and White Gala will enjoy a wonderful four-course dinner, catered by Ullrich’s, and a splendid night of dancing, with live music by the energetic Georgian Triangle-based band, Strange Potatoes – who opened for Great Big Sea’s Sean McCann just last year.
