The 18th annual Christmas Tea and Silent Auction hosted by the Catholic Women’s League of Our Lady of Grace and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic churches was held Sunday, Nov. 19 at the Westmeath Community Hall. There were 13 tables beautifully decorated by 15 hostesses.
The hostesses were Shannon Dunfield, Brenda Grady, Linda Bromley, Mona Lacroix, Paula Troutman and Katherine Majszki, Doreen McNair, Pam Bertrand, Leatrice Norlock, Anne and Jackie Bromley, Eileen de Haan, Lynn Dupuis, Pauline Wright and Sandra Ortmann.
Last year, $964 was raised and went to the kitchen renovation funds at Our Lady of Grace church and Our Lady of Mount Carmel church donated their portion to Renfrew Hospice and the Whitewater Bromley Community Health Centre.
This year’s proceeds are going to the kitchen renovation fund again and St. Vincent de Paul and the Salvation Army.
Along with enjoying music provided by 12-year-old soloist Sierra Levesque, there was a silent auction, door prize draws and of course plenty of refreshments and goodies to eat.
