Cobden students win at Legion Zone poster competition

Three Cobden District Public School students created Remembrance Day posters which were judged in Cobden and won local certificates. The posters were sent to the Legion’s Zone competition where they won again. Cobden Legion Branch 550 President Kent McLaughlin presented each of the winners with Zone Certificates and cash prizes for their outstanding work.  Accepting the awards from President McLaughlin are, left to right, Mallory Lee, 2nd place, Primary Grade, Coloured Poster; Payton Lucas, 3rd place, Junior Grade, Coloured Poster; and Cooper Caldwell, 1st place, Junior Grade, Black & White Poster.          Photo submitted
