RENFREW COUNTY (Renfrew) — The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) has intercepted nearly $6000 worth of illegal drugs, destined for Renfrew. On April 5 as part of an ongoing investigation, members of the Street Crime Unit and officers from the Renfrew OPP Detachment stopped a vehicle in Renfrew. They seized nearly 60 grams of suspected cocaine. Officers also seized a 2011 pick-up truck.

Ricky Dorval Wickens, age 62 of Horton Township and Kassandra Mary Brisson, age 30 of Renfrew are both charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking – sec. 5(2). Both of the accused have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on June 3.
