RENFREW COUNTY (Laurentian Valley) — On November 18 at approximately 12:30 p.m., members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Hazley Bay Drive in Laurentian Valley Township.
A westbound passenger vehicle left the roadway on a curve and struck a tree. The driver, and lone occupant of the vehicle, was not injured. Speed is considered to be a contributing factor in the cause of the collision.
The vehicle driver, 29 year old Eric Fowler of Petawawa, was charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
