Friday, Aug. 8 – Sunday, Aug. 10: The show will begin on Friday evening this year at 7 pm with snowmobile drag races. All tracks will begin competitions at 3 pm Saturday. On Sunday the show will start at 12 p.m. All three days will be fast moving displays of HORSEPOWER and DRIVER SKILL! Again this year, 4 tracks will be running at the same time. Where else would you be able to watch,mud drag racing, modified tractors and highway tractors compete on different tracks simultaneously? The Mud Drags are always a huge hit. They are colourful, powerful and very fast. They move at 100 mph on a 200 foot track side by side. The ever popular lawnmowers, modified tractors, highway tractors, street trucks and farm tractor competitions will provide exciting entertainment. We have good food and rough camping on site. Come, bring your family and friends, enjoy the drive through fertile farming country and let us delight you with this spectacular show by man and machine!
Sunday August 10: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Whitewater Historical Society presents Art in the Garden at Ross Museum. Support local artists and tour the museum. For $8, you can enjoy homemade soup, sandwhich, dessert and beverage. This is a fundraiser for the Society.
Saturday, Aug. 16: Muskrat Watershed Council Annual General Meeting, 9:30 a.m. – noon, Cobden Legion, upstairs, 43 Main St., Cobden. Hear updates, meet our two partnering groups, Algonquin College demonstrates their Mobile Lab for waterquality testing and support the Legion by purchasing lunch at their BBQ on the patio. This is also a great time to purchase your Membership in the Muskrat Watershed Council for $20 per year.
