Saturday, Sept. 13: Household Hazardous Waste Day at township garage on Mineview Road, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 14: Terry Fox Walk at Logos Land, starts at 11 am – runs until 3 p.m. There is a BBQ & refreshments for the participants. It is not necessary to have pledges, you can just give a donation and enjoy the beautiful trails.
Tuesday, Sept. 16: Renfrew County Local Food & Farming Forum, Cobden Agricultural Hall, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come learn about the local food economy in Renfrew County and participate in discussions around incorporating locally produced food in your organization. Wednesday, Sept. 17: Westmeath Riverview Seniors Monthly Soup & Sandwich, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Westmeath Community Hall. Delicious home made soups, breads, buns, non-processed meats, veggie platters, pickles, cheese and scrumptious home made desserts – all for $8.00 per person. Everyone is invited!
Wednesday, Sept. 17: The Corporation of the Township of Whitewater Region is holding a public meeting at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Township Office to consider proposed fee changes for the Building Department for the Township.
