The 2nd Annual Whitewater Home Show: Beachburg Arena. Friday 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. More than 50 vendors. This event is a Beachburg Arena fundraiser.
Saturday, May 2
Queens Line clean-up: Queens Line Women’s Institute members encourage Queens Line residents and landowners to participate in a one-day clean up of the Line.
Pub Night: featuring Dale Yuke, Westmeath Community Center. $10 person, light lunch served. Proceeds to Muskrat Minor Hockey. For tickets see Julie Hennessy (Ted Barron’s Insurance), Kenny’s Store Westmeath, Beach West Pharmacy or call Brenda at 613-587-4518

Crossroads Community Centre Annual Talent Show: 1:30 p.m., 2232 Snakeriver Line. Master of Ceremonies is Ian Hamilton, featuring Mine Road Singers, TownLiners, Roddy McCann, Jazz Trio & more. Free admission, free will donations accepted. Light lunch and refreshments served. Join us for an afternoon of fun and entertainment.
Roast Beef Supper: sponsored by L.O.L. 552, at the Foresters Falls Orange Hall, 4 to 6:30 p.m. Adults $14, Child 6-12, $7 and 5 and under is free. Canadian beef being served. Wheelchair accessible and take-out is available.
Harmony in the Valley concert: 7 p.m., St. Andrew’s United Church, Beachburg featuring Valley Harmonizers sing 50’s/60’s, St. Andrew’s Choir and Guests, Jazz Cats and Opeongo Youth Choir. Wednesday, May 6
Soup and Sandwich Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., $7 a person. This is held the first Wednesday of every month at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish Hall, La Passe. Please remember the foodbank collection of non-perishable items or cash. Proceeds towards ongoing projects, sponsored by Our Lady of Mount Carmel C.W.L.
