Community Street Crime Unit makes  arrest in commercial break and enter

PEMBROKE — On the morning of Monday, September 24, members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the OPP responded to DJL Enterprises on Paul Martin Drive in Pembroke after a break and enter was found to have occurred at the business sometime between the afternoon of September 23 and the morning of September 24.

On the afternoon of September 26, 2018 OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with the assistance of Upper Ottawa Valley OPP patrol officers, arrested a Pembroke man in relation to this incident.

35-year-old Joseph McLeod is charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) offences: Break and enter with intent; Possession of property obtained by crime; Fail to comply recognizance and Resisting arrest.

A significant quantity of tools and an outboard motor were among the items stolen. The following stolen items remain outstanding in this case: Campbell-Hausfeld air compressor; Assortment of Dewalt, Makita and Milwaukee cordless power tools; Wacker-Neusen 2500W generator; Paslode nailer; Garmin fish finder and a 9.9hp Johnson outboard motor.
