A review was undertaken of Council Remuneration for the next term. Changes include a cost-of-living adjustment and modifications to address the new Deputy Mayor position. A public meeting is scheduled for March 16. The staff report is available on the Township website.
Council directed the Mayor, CAO, and Manager of Community Development to proceed with negotiations with Whitewater Ontario for a Memorandum of Understanding for a potential access point on a municipal unopened road allowance (near McCoy Road), with the five prerequisites as outlined in the CAO’s report (financing, site plan/engineering, risk mitigation, insurance, operating plan). In addition, Council directed options for public put-in access also be explored with interested parties.
