PEMBROKE — Custom Draperies and Blinds’, Eileen Malette and Noella Stevens, recently hosted a Red Carpet Event to mark their 35th year in business. With community members and loyal patrons in attendance, the party raised over $3,000, which the duo donated to the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation.
“We started our business with humble beginnings in our basement, and we have the support from our community to thank for our success; so celebrating our 35th year anniversary as a fundraiser to give back to local families really felt fitting,” said Ms. Malette.
“We also have to thank the Downtown Pembroke businesses, Andrew Mayenburg and Crazy Beautiful Dresses who contributed the fantastic food and prizes and entertainment in support of the night’s success,” said Ms. Stevens. “Our local businesses have a stake in the growth of our community, and helping to advance the services offered at our Regional Hospital ensures health and wellness for everyone,” she continued.
“We’d also like to announce that we have sold the building, and we are moving on up – 17 steps above the rest – as we will continue to be open for business on the upper level.
Nancy Warren, PRHF executive director said, “Eileen and Noella have turned the celebration of their business anniversary into a fabulous fundraiser to support health care advancements for local families. We are honoured to receive this gift in celebration of their hard work and achievement.”
