It is with deep sorrow that the family of Dallas Bridget Foran (Code) announces her passing on Thursday, January 16th at 88 years old, at the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus, after spending her final days looking out over Lake Clear from her home. Dallas Foran, beloved wife for over 39 years of the late Honourable Justice Lawrence P. Foran, dearly loved mother of Lauree Bangs (Robert) of Ottawa, John Foran (Tamara) of Orleans and her darling baby daughter, Beverley Angella, who was born and taken to heaven on October 8, 1973. Dallas was the loving Grandmother of Tessa Bangs, Ella Bangs, Patrick Foran and Jack Foran and cherished sister of Imelda Burchart (late Ken) and Marina Feraday (late Mel). Dallas was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Dyer Code (late Rachel), Mel Code, Charles Code (Joan), Keith Code, Beverley Di Ianni (late Dominic) and Gail Code. She was the dear sister-in-law for over 53 years to Sister Margaret Foran, g.s.i.c., Irene Dooling (Tim), Patricia Foran Aubichon (Terry) and was predeceased by her brother-in-law Mac Foran (late Marina) and her sisters-in-law Lillian Foran and Mildred Jeffery (late Harry). Dallas was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; a woman of great faith; a dear aunt to many nieces and nephews; a respected member of her community; a friend to all her knew her; and a past president and member of the CWL at Our Lady of Lourdes in Pembroke and current member at St. James in Eganville. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Marianhill Redevelopment Project Building Care in memory of Lorne’s many years of dedicated service to Marianhill, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, in memory of Dallas and her brothers and sisters who have gone before her. Friends may call at Zohr Family Funeral Home, Eganville tomorrow from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. James the Less Catholic Church in Eganville on Saturday, January 25 at 11:00 a.m. Reception will follow in the parish hall. With her roads smoothed and travelled, with a heavenly breeze upon her face, with her fields and flowers watered, sowed and reaped, now that she is the sunshine that warms our faces, may she rest with Lornie in God’s palm, and until we meet again, Dallas you’ll be forever in the hearts of those who loved you.
