PEMBROKE – In the early morning hours of Saturday, March 5, members of the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP conducted a traffic stop in the east end of the City of Pembroke.
Jordan Pike, 18, was the driver of a vehicle found to be under the influence of alcohol. The Petawawa man was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences: impaired driving and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood.
He was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with: Novice driver with a blood alcohol count above zero.
Mr. Pike was also charged under the Liquor License Act with driving a motor vehicle with a open container of liquor.
He was released on a Promise To Appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on March 22.
In the early morning hours of Sunday March 6, officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP received a complaint regarding a possible impaired driver in a black Dodge pickup. Officers located the vehicle and stopped it on Doran Road in Laurentian Valley Township.
The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and as a result 44-year-old Brian Goldberg of North Algona-Wilberforce Township was arrested and charged with criminal code offences. The charges are impaired driving and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood.
Mr. Goldberg was released on a Promise To Appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on March 22.
Later that evening, the OPP conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in the downtown core of the City of Pembroke.
The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and as a result 31-year-old Timothy Kyle Brasch of Pembroke was arrested and charged with driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood contrary to the Criminal Code.
He was released on a Promise To Appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on April 5.
