Driving complaints lead to impaired driving charges against two men

Whitewater Region — On the evening of March 23, the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP received a complaint of a possible impaired driver in a pickup truck on Highway 17. Officers located and stopped the vehicle on Highway 17 in Whitewater Region Township and the driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol.
As a result, 58-year old Keith Holman of Arnprior is charged under the Criminal Code with driving motor vehicle while ability impaired by alcohol and driving with more than 80mgs of alcohol in blood.
Later that same evening, officers received another complaint of a possible impaired driver in a SUV on Highway 17 in Whitewater Region Township. Officers located and stopped the vehicle on Greenwood Road in Laurentian Valley Township and found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol.
As a result, 30-year old Simon Biskupski of Pembroke is charged with the following Criminal Code offences: driving motor vehicle while ability impaired by alcohol and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood.
Both men were released on a Promise To Appear and both are schedule to attend court on Tuesday, April 18, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke.
Each man’s license was suspended for 90 days and their vehicles were towed and impounded for seven days.
