On Saturday September 22 while conducting a RIDE spot check officers with the Renfrew Detachment of the OPP located open alcohol and a quantity of drugs in a vehicle.
Provincial Constable Scott Childerhose stopped the vehicle at approximately 10:49 p.m. on Division Street in Arnprior.
An open can of beer was seized and a search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of suspected cocaine.
Joseph Gray, aged 24 of Ottawa, was charged with possession of a schedule 1 drug – cocaine. He was issued an appearance notice for court in Renfrew on Wednesday, October 24.
A passenger in the vehicle, Craig Collins, aged 28 of McNab Braeside Township, was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for having open liquor in other than a licence premise, residence or private place.
