1940 – 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ernest Victor Kinslow on August 10th 2019, at the age of 79. Ernie was member of the Canadian Guards from 1957-1960. He worked as a furnace operator in Ontario, a coal miner in Alberta and as a foreman with Homco Mobile Homes Ltd. in Ontario, before going back home to Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. He then returned to commercial fishing as skipper of his own fishing vessel. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid fly fisherman. Ernie is survived by his wife of 59 years Marion (Stevenson). Children, Steven (Annette), Ronald (Betty Anne), all of Beachburg, Ontario. Karen (Curtis) Valerie (Robert), all of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. And Arlene (David) of New Waterford, Nova Scotia. Grandchildren, Katelyn, Christine, Marcus, Jamie, Michael, Sean, and Elizabeth. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes and graveside service will be held in Beachburg, Ontario on Saturday, September 14 at 3:00 p.m. at the Beachburg Union Cemetery. In memory of Ernie, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
