Ada Welk, born October 23, 2017, meets her great-grandmother Dorothy Reid, 90, on Christmas Eve 2017. On either side of the first and fourth generations are Amanda, her mom, left, and Doris Reaney, her grandmother. Ms. Reid is sitting in the rocking chair given to her mom by the nurse at the hospital when she was born. It was given to Ms. Reid by her mom and Ms. Reid gave it to her daughter, Doris.
