Of Cobden, passed away peacefully in Pembroke Regional Hospital on Sunday, January 25, 2015 in his 83rd year. Garnet Hawkins, beloved husband of Agnes Hawkins, nee Dota. Dear stepfather of Wayne Lahey, Daniel (Carmen) Lahey, Paul (Patricia) Lahey and Glen (Deborah) Lahey. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, twin sisters Joyce (Gerald Boyce) and Lois (Gerald Tabbert) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Gerald Hawkins. Friends may call at the Fraser-Morris and Heubner Funeral Home, Cobden, Thursday January 29, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Service in Cobden Pentecostal Church, Friday at 11 a.m. Spring interment Cobden Union Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
