WHITEWATER REGION (Cobden) — The Bruce McPhail Memorial Airport near Cobden, held its annual breakfast, as usual, one week before Father’s Day. The lineup to get breakfast was very long and hadn’t thinned for much of the morning.

There were plenty of small aircraft organized conveniently for viewing and examining. One was flown in for the day from Kingston by Paul Detloz along with Will Heany. Paul belongs to a flying club in Kingston. For summer vacations, he hauls his craft to the Bruce McPhail airport and flies it from there.

Gilles and Kelly Malanson had Wheels of the Valley antique cars with corvettes and 1930 hot rods, etc. on display. The day was perfect for this gathering as was the music provided by the Sheenboro Fiddlers.
