July was a busy month for the Renfrew County Junior Farmers, as members hosted six international delegates from across Europe for two weeks.
The delegates arrived July 9th and 10th and left for their next host county July 24th.
During the two weeks, club members took the delegates to visit local farms, businesses and area attractions. Some of the highlights for the delegates were visiting Rueben Stone’s hemp farm, Bonnechere Caves, spending a day in Quebec, and ending their two week visit by going whitewater rafting with both local and provincial junior farmers.
Saying goodbye to the delegates as they left for Kawartha County was hard, but bittersweet, as many local club members hope to travel to the annual Ambassador’s Banquet in Prince Edward County to say a final goodbye to the delegates before they head home after their three month visit to Ontario.
