WHITEWATER REGION (Cobden) — The Township of Whitewater Region has a little extra strut in their step as of late, with the announcement of Jp2g Consultants Inc. as Title Sponsor for this year’s Whitewater Streetstrut festivities.
Whitewater Streetstrut, The Township of Whitewater Region’s inaugural event, takes place on Saturday, July 15th on Main Street of Cobden between Crawford and John streets.
The event will provide afternoon family entertainment along with live music free of charge to the public from noon until 5 p.m., said community services manager Jordan Durocher. At 5 p.m., the afternoon event closes down and the street will be transformed into a concert venue, before opening the gates at 7 p.m. for the evening headliner the HEADSTONES with special guests Day Dreams for Dollars, he continued.
“Our committee is extremely excited to deliver this event,” Mr. Durocher said. “The event has helped build and establish community partnerships, inclusion and has helped showcase our region to the area.”

As a locally owned company, we care about giving back to our communities and celebrating local businesses and neighbourhoods. Pre-sale tickets are currently on sale for $25 and $30 at the door. Tickets can be purchased on-line by visiting HeadStonesBand.com. In Cobden, hard tickets can be purchased at Olmstead’s Home Hardware Building Centre, Shell Gas Station, Whitewater Brewery and the municipal office in Cobden; in Beachburg at Prono; Kenny’s Store in Westmeath and at Moncion Metro in Pembroke.
There are also two ways to win VIP tickets to the event: visit the township’s facebook page or visit Moose FM’s online contest.
