HALEY STATION — Khloe Betrand of Haley Station brought home some top hardware from The Northern Ontario Open Country Singing Contest held this past weekend in North bay.
She competed in the 12 and under division and was up against some great competitors.
Each of the competitors had to pick a slow song and another that was more upbeat.
Khloe chose Church Bells by Carrie Underwood for her upbeat song and I Won’t Let Go by Rascal Flatts for her slow song. She nailed them both.
On the Friday evening, the eight competitors were able to rehearse their chosen songs. Saturday morning, they all performed before the judges, and five moved to the finals.
Khloe was more then thrilled when she heard her name to move
on.
On Sunday, the day of the finals, Khloe had one of her biggest moments in her young singing career, as she won the top spot in her category.
Khloe’s parents are Marc and Kerri Bertrand.
